At our office, we operate under a Fee-for-Service (FFS) model, and we want to ensure that all our current patients understand how this approach works and what it means for your care.
What is Fee-for-Service (FFS) Primary Care?
In our FFS model, you pay for each individual service or treatment you receive, such as office visits, lab tests, or procedures. Each service is billed separately, and while insurance may cover some of these costs, please note that our office does not bill insurance directly. You will be responsible for submitting the bill to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Key Features of Our FFS Model:
Payment Structure: You are billed for each visit or service at the time of your appointment.
Insurance Submission: We do not handle insurance billing. After your visit, we provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance provider.
Personalized and Preventive Care: Our practice is centered on providing personalized, preventive care. We work closely with you to maintain your overall health and well-being, rather than just addressing issues as they arise.
Included Services at Key Visits: During your initial visit and all annual check-ups, the EKG, blood draw, and urine testing are included in the single fee. This ensures that you receive a comprehensive evaluation as part of these key visits.
Availability: Our doctors are available for emergencies during the week. However, we do not offer 24-7 access. On weekends and holidays we may be on call for the office, but there may be times when another covering doctor will be available instead.
How This Differs from Concierge Care:
Some patients may be familiar with the Concierge care model, which often includes 24-7 access to the doctor and other personalized services for a membership fee. We do not offer a Concierge model. Instead, we provide the same level of personalized, preventive care within a traditional FFS structure, without the added costs associated with Concierge care.
What This Means for You:
As a current patient, understanding our FFS model helps you know what to expect in terms of payment, insurance, and the level of care provided. We are committed to offering you comprehensive and attentive care, with a focus on prevention and personalization, while also ensuring that our services remain accessible within our established framework.
If you have any questions about our FFS model or need assistance with insurance submissions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. We are here to support you in managing your health and navigating your care with us.
